Paul N. Edwards receives 2025 Society for Social Studies of Science award
Paul N. Edwards, director of the Program on Science, Technology, and Society (STS) and senior research fellow at the Center for International Security and Cooperation at Stanford, has been awarded a 2025 Bernal Prize from the Society for Social Studies of Science. Edwards studies climate science and the Anthropocene through a social science lens, and the society called his work "a model for how critical inquiry might transform governance and policy."

Stanford Statisticians Tackle COVID-19
This stories series presents three studies in the Department of Statistics addressing the coronavirus outbreak using different approaches: tracking genetic mutations in the coronavirus, developing a more practical approach to predictive modelling, and designing clinical trials of promising new treatments.
