Christopher O. Barnes, assistant professor in the Department of Biology, has been named the recipient of the 2025 Early Independent Career Award from the Biophysical Society. Barnes is recognized for his work combining structural methods with in vivo approaches to ultimately develop therapeutics and vaccines against zoonotic viruses.
