Ana Raquel Minian, associate professor in the Department of History, has been named a finalist for the 2025 PEN/John Kenneth Galbraith Award for Nonfiction for her book In the Shadow of Liberty: The Invisible History of Immigrant Detention. The winner will be announced May 8. Minian's book was published in April 2024 by Viking, an imprint of Penguin Random House.
