Blend @ Annette’s Café to Re-Open with Limited Hours
Update to story: Effective July 9, 2021, Blend @ Annette's Café will be open Monday through Friday, 11 am to 2 pm.
Another option for safely grabbing a bite to eat on campus will be available when Blend @ Annette’s Café re-opens on July 13. Located between the Sapp Center for Science Teaching and Learning and the Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Biology Research Building, the café offers rice bowls and other Asian-inspired dishes.
Initially, the café will only be open on Mondays and Tuesdays from 11 am to 2 pm as it gauges demand. Expanded hours will be announced on their website and Instagram account @blendeatery if they are updated. A limited menu will be available, with the number of toppings and sides temporarily reduced, though vegetarian and gluten-free options will still be available.
Safety measures have been put in place to make the experience as seamless and worry-free as possible. High-touch surfaces will be disinfected frequently throughout the day and hand sanitizer will be provided if customers need it. Service items like utensils and napkins will be handed to customers individually. Sauces will be dispensed by the employees to minimize contact.
Contactless payment is available, and, for now, only credit card payments will be taken. Loyalty punch cards will be not be accepted until it is safe to use them again.
